Rickyisms Friday, October 14 2011

So because of Festivals Acadiens & Créoles and Le Grand Réveil Acadien, I've seen a lot of familiar faces from back home in Canada these past few days.

It's refreshing and comforting because I often miss home.

Thankfully the internet can help me through those rough patches.

Specifically, watching Trailor Park Boys videos on UTube!...

Trailer Park Boys is a Canadian comedy ''mockumentary'' filmed about 3 hours down the road from where I grew up in Nova-Scotia. Set in a trailer park, it's basically a series that follows the lives of 2 ex-cons, Ricky, Julian and their more reasonable side-kick and/or accomplice, Bubbles.

One of the funniest elements of this show are the “Rickyisms”.

Ricky usually gets his point across in the end, but not without mangling a few words here and there.

These always put a smile on my face!

(Warning: foul language and content!)

This is not me. It's Donna Reed. But this is what I look like in my head when I'm just sitting around in my living room.

OMG, My dearest Nicole, OMG,, I'm so happy that I'm crying. Let me explain, I've come to known you for quite awhile, I met you thru Acadiana Moms Like Me... I always check for you when ever you post on there, and I would click and it would link me to this site. Now Acadiana Moms Like Me is no longer a working site. I checked my saved blogs which I found your old blogging.. and click and it led me here.. Thankfully I found you.. You do little things that perk my day up and living life to its fullest.. makes me so thankful for my life. I found out recently that you're from Canada, well it my lifelong dream to go to Nova Scotia and Canada.. I'm just so glad to find your site and keep up with your blogging... I'm sorry you're missing home, wishing I could ease that for you as I once knew how that felt to miss home (I was a navy wife of 11 yrs).. I"ll be checking you often. Feel free to email me if you like anytime... Have a Bless Day
